WAIT ON THE LORD, I SAY WAIT!

WAIT ON THE LORD, I SAY WAIT!

HE KNOWS AND HE UNDERSTANDS!!

(John 14:1-: Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.)

# I know that It is very easy for us to tell ourselves and others to rest in the Lord and wait patiently for him when everything is cool and dandy in our little world,

# But when our little world is turned upside down and we are forced to live in confusion and agony, like our sick friend, our divorced and heartbroken friend or like our friend grieving the sudden and tragic death of their loved one.

# Are we still able to rest in the Lord in any of the above-mentioned circumstances?

# Are we still able to maintain and keep our peace, when all hell is literally breaking loose around us?

# Can we still sing ain't nobody can do me well like the Lord?

# Can we still boldly declare that Jesus is Lord over all.

# Can we still boldly declare that we know the one who holds our future, and boldly says, all fear is gone, and our lives, is a living joy in spite of our present hard circumstances?

 

# Are we still able to rest and be still and know He's the Lord that changes not even in the midst of our storms?

# If you and I can not rest secure on the promises of the Lord, in the midst of our storms, then it will be difficult to rest in any given circumstances, my thoughts though!

 

# The good book says if we faint in the days of adversity that means our strength is small.

# We must practice the act of resting in the Lord, in our days of difficulties and uncertainties just as we’ll do in our days of peace and prosperity.

 

# Resting in the Lord should not be a function of our circumstances, meaning we should not allow our negative external crisis or our positive external success be the determining factor as to whether we will be restful or not

# Resting in the Lord should be a function of our relationship with the Lord our God.

 

# Resting should be a function of our knowledge of the one who holds our future -GOD

(Isaiah 26:3-: You keep him in perfect peace

whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.)

 

# Do not let your heart be troubled is a command from the Lord and not a suggestion.

# You may be saying to yourself right now, John, you don't understand what I am going through. Yes, you're right, I don't understand but Jesus understands.

 

# Jesus knows and understands all about your struggles and worries.

# He knows about the fear and anxiety you have to deal with every night. Because of that abuse

# Jesus knows about your fear of rejection and fear of being denied access to.... because of..........

 

# Jesus knows about your fear of abandonment and shame

# Jesus knows about your fear of failure and the mockery of defeat

# Jesus knows about that deep emotional wounds you are carrying that even the closest people to you know nothing about.

 

# Jesus knows all about those midnight experiences and trauma that are buried deep down beneath the deep recesses of your soul.

# Jesus knows all about the shame and guilt that hunts that soul of yours.

# Jesus knows all about the pain concealed beneath those smiles and loud jokes of yours

#Jesus knows about those tears and pain in your soul that you have done a good job of hiding for so many years now.

 

# And He said to tell you, come to me my child and find rest for your tired soul. (I understand says Jesus)

# Jesus knows that beneath those designer's clothes, shoes, fancy houses and cars are wounds and scars so deep that no one can see, but He sees.

 

# Jesus knows how you have been trying to keep it together, how you have been trying to stay strong for everyone else but for yourself-

# He said to tell you, let go and let Me take over from here-Child Jesus loves you

 

# Jesus knows and sees how you have been neglected, mistreated and abused, mentally, physically and emotionally. And He said to tell you sorry and there's still Balm in Gilead waiting for you

# Jesus sees and knows that you were falsely accused.

 

# Jesus sees and knows that you have not been treated fairly and how they have trashed you with their mouths

 

# Jesus knows that you have been cheated out of your rights.

# Jesus knows about betrayal you suffered in the hands of the ones you trust

# Like Hagar, you have been pushed around, shoved around

 

# Like Hagar, you have looked down upon by everyone

# Like Hagar, you have been called names

Still, Hagar before you quit and run, I want you to look again and you will see Him

 

# I want you to know that Jesus knows all about it, and He sees you.

# Before running back to those bad habits,

I want you to know that He sees you and He cares

(Genesis 16:13-: So she called the LORD who spoke to her: The God Who Sees, for she said, “In this place, have I actually seen the One who sees me?”)

# This is why the wise one said, we all should trust in the Lord,  and not in another man.

(Proverbs 3:5-: Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding;)

# A beg you my brother my sister trust in the Lord and not frets or lose heart because of what you're going through right now, even this shall pass.

# Trust in the Lord wait for Him and He will come through for you.

# I encourage you to wait and trust in His promises for He is a covenant-keeping God, wait

# I encourage you for change is coming sooner than you think

(Job 14:14-: If a man dies, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.)

# Wait I say, wait

(Psalms 27:14-: Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.)
