 THE TENDER SHOOT HAS BECOME AN OAK OF SHELTER TO THOUSANDS 

  GILGAL- THE STORY OF GOD’S MERCY AND FAITHFULNESS

  (Job 8:7-: Though thy beginning be small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.) 

# It was just a dream and a deep desire in the hearts of my wife and I to see children in our home country given hope and a future. 

# That dream later became a vision 14 years ago in Gwynne valley Alberta, Canada through the help, love and support of some wonderful covenant friends. If you are familiar with our story, you would have heard their names mentioned every now and again.  

# 13 years later the vision has become a purpose and a reality in Grande Cache Alberta, Canada together with the help, love and support of our wonderful Church family and other friends across Canada and around the world.  

# True to Gilgal's vision and mandate as directed by The Lord, it is rolling away reproaches from the lives of the weak, vulnerable and the outcast in our society. 

# Gilgal is also mandated by The Lord to restore honour and dignity to the ones whose reproach The Lord has rolled away, through Gilgal's ministry.

# At the time of writing this, Gilgal has trained and graduated a few hundred children. 

# Presently we are operating from three other satellite facilities apart from our permanent site at Otada with a Total number of - 1,062 Students   

# The primary school section has a total of 902, students 

# The secondary Secondary has a total number of 160- students

# We have a total of 33 staff on the ground and two supporting external facilitators

# Gilgal has Supported a sizeable number of children through high schools, this was before we were blessed with our own. 

# Gilgal has also supported and continues to support a few numbers of pupils in colleges and universities. 

# Gilgal has empowered many widows and is still supporting and encouraging a few more.  

# Gilgal has supported and continues to support not only widows and orphans but rural and struggling families including pastors and their families 

# Gilgal is at the process of completing our first residential apartments for widows/ orphans and vulnerable families on our permanent site at Otada- Otukpo. 

# In Otada our permanent site, we now have the first phase of our vocational training up and running partially -

# We have the Tailoring and fashion department up and running with a few sewing machines.

# We also have some computers on lease from a business center being used for computer training # We have 4 buildings all ready and in use in Otada with 2 more almost completed to the glory of God.

# And by the special grace of God, we are going into our first church plant together with my home Church in Grande Cache.

# We will be starting a new Gilgal school in a village about an hour away from Otukpo that has had no school before now. In this village, we will be planting a cornerstone church alongside our Gilgal school. 

# We will also go into farming and raising livestock in this new location by the grace of God. 

# This is to empower the older students, widows and the vulnerable in the village. 

# The Lord indeed has been very gracious and merciful to Gilgal. 

# The progress and growth could not have been possible without your support in prayers, giving and encouragement. 

# My family and I together with the leadership of Gilgal. 

# Not forgetting the teachers and staff of Gilgal and most especially the children and widows. 

# We all want to extend our gratitude, thank you for your prayers, your giving and your encouragement. 

# Please keep us in your hearts and prayers as we believe in God for the new school and the needs ahead. With the growth also comes the need for more financial resources and responsibilities 

# We are trusting God, for -: 

# A school bus # Carpentry workshop 

# Basketball court for Otada school. 

# Outdoor play equipment. For Otada and the new location 

# More sewing machines.  # Computers for the schools. 

# Funds to get a new school and church plant started.
